BLESSED

I am not feeling well today so I was lying in bed focusing on God. Funny how he has to put us on our backs sometimes just so he can talk to us. While I was lying there thanking God for all that I have he brought to my mind the homeless. I have a nice bed to lay in while recovering from my sickness. They have benches or the ground to lay on when they are sick. I have my bathroom to wash in to help me feel better. They have a public restroom or a shelter if they are lucky. I have such a heavy burden for them today. Maybe it's because I can relate to them. We too were homeless at one time. Thankfully we had family that opened their home to us so we wouldn't be on the streets. How many more are not so Blessed? I have a lengthy scripture to share today but it is worth every second it takes to read it.
Matt 25:35-45 (KJV)
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
Jesus said the son of man  hath no place to lay his head. He didn't have a permanent home here on earth yet he did SO MUCH. Why then do we who have homes, food and family yet do so little? Join me today in praying that those who are homeless have someone put in their path to tell them Jesus loves you and will take care of your needs. Reach out to those less fortunate and not just tell them about Jesus but show them.
